I happened to walk by the Rosicrucian Temple here in my neighborhood of Ballard today. There were signs inviting the public in for a sing-along. It made me think of lyrics from an old Leonard Cohen song, “Dress Rehearsal Rag.”

When mentioning the theater events going on this month, I neglected to mention “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” performed outdoors at the incomparably beautiful outdoor Forest Theater and mosquito preserve. As per previous years, John Perry and other familiar faces will be involved. June 17 through July 16. I’m looking forward to this one.

My brother David now has a blog as well as a Web site with a selection of articles from his newspaper, The State Line Observer. I have added the blog to the links on the navigation bar. I recommend the About Us page for the interesting history of the newspaper, from 1872 to the present.
