The Bad Astronomy site has a great photo of an avalanche on Mars, as captured by an orbiting camera.
I mostly liked the title of this one: “Hovering bats stay aloft using swirling vortices.” It turns out that bats can hover using the same general method that honeybees use. That’s right. The same flight method that people like Mike Huckabee are so confused about.
Wonderful video of crazed, funny, performance-art ping pong. That’s the best description I could come up with.
