Earlier this week a box arrived in the mail for Maggie. It said “David Lynch” in big letters on the outside. It was light-weight and probably had an article of clothing in it. I thought it was funny that some clothing manufacturer had the same name of a movie producer known for grotesque films. Of course I was wrong. It was from Lynch the movie maker, who also sells T-shirts. Maggie’s shirt had a cartoon drawing of mean little dog and the caption, “The angriest dog in the world.”
“What’s the story behind the dog?” I asked, but she didn’t know. Maggie just felt a kinship to the rabid little hound. I googled and discovered that Lynch used to have a comic strip called “The Angriest Dog in the World” featuring this furry fury.
It’s a dog-eat-world world.
