My older brother had this album, Children of the Future, when I was just a junior tadpole. It shouldn’t be forgotten–the swirling waves of electric organ and mellotron, and a very young Steve Miller pouring his heart out for this epic psychedelic ballad. That was 1968. Forty years later I performed this song before an adoring audience. Of course, that was in a dream, or something very much like a dream, two days after surgery. Performed the entire “A” side of the LP.
But never mind that. Put your hands on the computer and let the sound wash over you, friends. Get dreamy and melt a little bit. How long has it been since you felt like a very warm marshmallow?
