The weather continues to be gloriously sunny and temperate in Seattle. People are starting to get worried and ask questions. What will happen to our slugs and fungi? Will the mountains fill with snow? We need the snow so it can melt into next year’s streams, sending freezing water and floppy fish to the sea. Most importantly, what kind of music scene would develop here if it’s always sunny and glad?

I saw a rainbow yesterday after a bright pink sunrise. There are signs and wonders, but no rain in the forecast.

This is what we want, and we want it now:

“In rural southern Italy, the garden slug Arion hortensis was used to treat gastritis, stomach ulcers, or peptic ulcers by swallowing it whole and alive.” Wikipedia
