hanging by your teeth

Here are two photos I took at the fall Bemis Arts show. One piece included a lot of bottles hanging from wires. Each bottle contained a single tooth sitting in a clear liquid. Both human and animal teeth were displayed. Call it art if you’d like. Next to that is some day-of-the-dead-looking skulls, conveniently mounted on wheels.

I was eager to see the Machine Horror House exhibit. This consisted of large cartoon animations projected on three walls, with Kinect cameras on the ceiling to allow audience interaction. Turned out that the Kinect part of the exhibit was not ready to go yet, so one could only watch the animations. One of the little cartoon characters was zapped into the future and returned to the present. He reported that there are no people in the future, but there are lots of singing, dancing robots.
The future is a robot dance party.
